Design
The relationship between drawing, design, (and coffee) is symbiotic. Each can serve as a solid foundation for the other as well as its outward expression. In fact I’m not even quite sure where one ends and the other begins, so reciprocal are their functions. My exploratory process begins with drawing but elements such as shape, contrast, balance, and a dark roast are present from the very first sketch. Likewise, I find integration of typography and image is best achieved with this holistic drawing approach— whether on a tablet, sketchbook, or napkin. The end result is cohesion and harmony, an elegant articulation of your concept, brand, or identity that is greater than the sum of it’s parts. So pour yourself a cup and have a look.
